Experience Over-the-Rhine

Over-the-Rhine (also known as OTR) is abundant with locally-owned, independent businesses, and the energy of our neighborhood continues to attract retail pioneers, artisans, and culinary visionaries. We encourage you to explore OTR's mix of old and new, where there's always something new to discover!

Stay in a historic hotel

Enhance your visit with a stay at the historic Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza hotel, located in downtown Cincinnati. Open since 1931, the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza hotel is one of the world’s finest examples of French Art Deco design. This National Historic Landmark hotel offers 40,000 sq. ft. of unique event space. Dine at Orchids at Palm Court, responsible for making our hotel the #1 Hilton food and beverage hotel in the USA for six of the last seven years.

Drink great local beer

We are fortunate to have a resurgent brewing scene in Cincinnati again, with the number of current breweries surpassing our pre-Prohibition highs. Some of our favorite watering holes include:
  • Samuel Adams Cincinnati Taproom 1727 Logan Street: Brewery taproom
  • Dunlap Cafe 1926 Dunlap Street: Oldest bar in Over-the-Rhine specializing in delicious home cooked food, strong drinks and good company.
  • Arnold's Bar and Grill 208 East 8th Street: Oldest bar in Cincinnati with above-par food and well-priced drinks.
